Meet our Dynamic Student Leaders For The 26/27 Academic Year
Each year, a group of students are chosen take on leadership positions within our ESK community. These roles include Student Council members, House Captains, and Senior Prefects. Our Senior Prefect Team and House Captains have already been appointed, and the elections for the Primary Student Council are currently in progress; we eagerly anticipate the results.
ESK Prefect Team
Our Year 13 leaders serve as visible role models throughout the school, are approachable, and contribute to shaping the school's spirit. They stand as an influential student voice in our ESK community, acting as ambassadors of the school and helping to maintain order in the school.

To be selected, these students have shown outstanding commitment to the school's values, demonstrated a strong work ethic, and earned the respect of both their peers and teachers over the years.
They set a positive example for their fellow students and adhere to school rules.
They are polite, reliable, and helpful around campus.
They maintain an excellent academic record.
They show respect to teachers, peers, and the school environment.
They promote good behavior among their peers, both in and out of school.
Our Prefect team of 23 takes on various roles and responsibilities in all aspects of school life, both during the school day and outside school hours. These include supporting staff in weekly assemblies, supervising students during break and lunchtime, and representing our school at important events. They also serve as a link between the Headmaster, teachers, and students, gathering feedback and suggestions on school development plans from their peers to report during meetings.
We extend our congratulations to everyone, with a special acknowledgment to our Head Boy and Head Girl, who lead the prefect team.
House Captains
House Captains play an equally important role in promoting school spirit. Selected to lead our House teams, Othello, Hilarion, Caretta and Alasia, House Captains play a prominent role in sports events and team-building activities. Their role includes actively assisting in the promotion and running of House competitions and representing the school at sports community events. Students in Year 13 are selected to lead the Secondary School and Year 6 lead Primary school.
Each captain brings unique strengths and qualities to their role, whether it be exceptional organisational skills, a knack for motivating their peers, or a deep understanding of the various sports and activities involved.
With sports day just around the corner, excitement is building among students and staff alike. Our dedicated House captains have been organising training sessions and discussing strategies, and are brimming with enthusiasm as they prepare to rally their teams for the upcoming events. The House System?
ESK's House system is a key aspect of student life at ESK, fostering a spirit of community competition and an inclusive culture at ESK. Named after well-known cultural representations of the island, each house is made up of students from across all year groups. Throughout the year, students take part in inter-house events and competitions including the flagship sports day, quizzes and fundraising competitions, to help their House achieve the most points and win the House Cup at the end of the year.
We are excited to welcome this year's student leaders to their new positions and look forward to seeing how they will guide and support their fellow students throughout this new academic year.
