Facilities

The English School of Kyrenia’s vast leafy campus is located in the Bellapais region just outside of central Kyrenia in North Cyprus. With the Mediterranean sea to the north and the mountains to the south, we are truly blessed to be surrounded every day by so much beauty and nature.

Our campus comprises of the Little Learners building for our Pre-Nursery students, the Eco-Building, home to Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2, and the Main Building for students in Year 3 through to Year 13. With ESK's spacious campus and vast facilities, students can explore new learning experiences. From classrooms with cutting-edge technology and sports facilities, to an Amphitheatre and a focused Sixth Form Centre, each facility is a reflection of a traditional, yet innovative education. Students truly have an abundance of opportunities to learn, grow, and explore.

The Little Learners building is a purpose-built one-story building with its own garden and terrace. It has a welcoming, calming and nurturing environment for our very youngest ESK students. Designed with soft, earth-inspired tones, it has large window panes which fill the rooms with natural light and sunshine. The open-plan building was created with every detail in mind: there is a yoga and resting room, a special cushioned floor, toilets and washing facilities specifically designed for our youngest students, and a bright and colourful play area. The classroom is a large open space with different work stations that excite our little learners and develop their curiosity.

LITTLE LEARNERS

ECO BUILDING

Nursery to Year 2 students are housed in the purpose-built early years building that opened in September 2013. Welcoming, warm, and bursting with colour and fun, the early years building encourages even the most nervous little ones to feel at home and to relax within the light-filled classrooms which surround the central atrium. This huge covered central atrium allows for all-weather outdoor learning opportunities and the spacious classrooms are all equipped with state-of-the-art teaching resources.

MAIN BUILDING

The main building is spread over four floors. It has generous corridors allowing for easy movement and all classrooms are equipped with state-of-the-art teaching resources. Key Stage 2 classrooms are located on the ground floor, while Secondary classrooms are located on the top floor. The two lower ground floors are dedicated to ICT, Drama, Sports, Music, the Library, and the newly developed Sixth Form Centre.

Imagine STEM Centre

Exclusive to ESK, our new cutting-edge STEM centre is home to new science, computer, robotics and virtual reality labs. With Bright open spaces and state-of-the-art technologies, the Centre will facilitate new innovative teaching methods for both our Primary and Secondary school, that goes beyond the traditional curriculum. Opened in September 2022, the Imagine STEM Centre aspires to build confidence, embrace creativity, encourage teamwork and promote a forward-thinking mentality. The ideal atmosphere to keep up with the ever-changing digital world.
