MISSION & VALUES
The ESK Mission Statement
The English School of Kyrenia endeavours to develop young people who are principled, inquiring and open-minded communicators with a lifelong love of learning. We aim to inspire students to serve as compassionate global citizens through our challenging international educational programmes.
Respect, Honesty, Justice, Sincerity, Trust, Integrity
Individually and collectively, members of the ESK community recognize and respect the inherent dignity of every individual. We recognize that each of us shares the responsibility for creating a safe, nurturing and encouraging environment for all of us. We will develop and celebrate our strengths and, at the same time, we shall help others to overcome tasks which they find challenging.
The English School of Kyrenia (ESK) is a co-educational day and boarding school in the heart of the Mediterranean offering exciting opportunities for academic and personal excellence. The school is located in Bellapais with immaculate views of the sea and the mountains.
ESK provides a high-quality British-style education in a safe and calm environment. Academic excellence and personal development flourish through the halls of the school. A sense of family, support, and pride for being a part of ESK is prominent when speaking with staff or students, with alumni frequently visiting to share their wisdom and experiences.
The Boarding House is a home away from home with outstanding pastoral care. It is situated on the school campus and is able to house 44 young people and resident staff of high caliber. Every detail has been painstakingly thought through to maximise the quality of provision, including the rooms which have views of both the sea and beautiful mountains.
The ESK Lions are a force to be reckoned with. A wide variety of sports and activities are available to all students. Students also have the opportunity to join competitive ranks competing with schools from all parts of the world. Sports and activities are an integral part of creating well-rounded individuals.
