We offer a whole world of sports, drama, music and community outreach activities, to encourage high school students to discover their passion and potential, while also creating space for unparalleled learning experiences and character development.
ESK'S HOUSE SYSTEM
Inclusivity & Team Spirit
Our House System is a key aspect of student life at ESK,which helps promote integrity, pride and an inclusive culture. Students are located into one of four houses when they join the school – not with a Harry Potter sorting hat, sadly! Our Houses: Hilarion, Othello, Caretta and Alasia, are made up of students from across all year groups, allowing the whole school to come together and take part in inter-house events and competitions. Throughout the year, there are opportunities for both individuals and groups to contribute to their House - including the flagship sports day event, inter-house quizzes, dance-offs and academic merit points awarded in class. Students of all ages and abilities are encouraged to 'have a go' and work together to help their House achieve the most points, winning the House Cup at the end of the year.
In Secondary school, ESK Houses are led by Student Leaders who work with students in each year group to foster a spirit of community competition and achievement. Students have a responsibility to work together, building relationships, teamwork, leadership and communication skills along the way. Students feel that they are part of a community—the ESK family.
