ESK Lions Race to the Top!

Although School competitive sports have been paused for the foreseeing future, due the the pandemic, it doesn't stop our students from following their passions and succeeding.

It has been an exceptional month of sports achievements at ESK! Some non-contact sports that ESK students have been taking part in, include Swimming, Tennis and Horse-riding.

A New Record is Broken!

In swimming, two of our Year 11 tudents Mert Türsoy and Sanem Kutlu, competed in the North Cyprus Republic Swimming Championships. Mert made a splash, breaking the current record for the 200 metre Breaststroke category, for ages 15-19. Sanem came 3rd for both the 50 metre Breaststroke and 50 metre Backstroke category for her age group.

World Fitness Championships

At the end of October, Aren Tantura in Year 6 represented the TRNC in Serbia, at the World Childrens Fitness Championships. He achieved 3rd place in the 10 year old boys’ category.

An Exceptional Result!

In horse-riding Year 7 student Nerin Batıbeniz competed in the 5th hurdle jumping competition organised by the TRNC Equestrian Federation and came 1st in the 70 cm pole category, 70 cm and 80 cm flat race. Batuhan Özbek in Year 10 also competed, coming 3rd in the 80 cm hurdle jumping competition.

Serve it, Smash it, Win it!
